Cookies cannot be deleted directly from a web page, you have to ‘expire’ them so that the browser can delete them for you
You can delete any cookies from your PC that have been set by web sites, doing so may make things more difficult when you re-visit that site, as it willnot remember any of your settings etc if you delete the cookies.
Deleting Cookies:
The easiest way to delete cookies set on you PC is to use the function available in most browser settings areas. The way each browser works varies but some of the most popular browser details are shown below (check the Help section of your browser if it is not listed here).
It is important to note that deleting the cookies in one browser does NOT delete the cookies set by a site in another browser if you have more than one browser installed.
Microsoft Internet Explorer:
Go to Tools > Internet Options , Select the General Tab. You can then either:
FireFox:
Go to Tools > Options and Select Privacy, you will see a link ‘Remove Individual Cookies’ click and you will see all cookies used by FireFox and you can delete the ones you wish.
Opera:
Go to Tools > Advanced > Cookies you will then see all cookies used by Opera which you can delete as required.
Chrome:
Go to the ‘spanner’, and click it, click Settings > Settings > Click the link ‘Show Advanced Settings’ . Click Content Settings under Privacy > then All cookies and site data, you can then delete cookies from there.
Safari:
Go to the ‘gear’ click it and select Preferences > then select Security > Show Cookies and you can delete cookies from there.
